5 Books I Plan to Read this Summer

5 Books I Plan to Read this Summer

You may or may not have noticed, but I have not been doing much reading this year.  Things have really picked up with KateOGroup and I’ve been staying busy non-stop.  I can’t really complain about that; being self-employed has I’ve really had to reorganized my priorities.  But truth be told, I desperately miss reading…and writing.  As summer approaches I do plan on getting at least some reading in and here are the books I’ve put on my summer reading list:

1. The Fault in Our Stars

The Fault In Our Stars by John GreenI started reading The Fault in Our Stars by John Green back in January and still haven’t finished it.  I got sidetracked with book club books that I needed to read for our monthly meetings.  I’m about halfway through and will hopefully finish it in no time.

2. Rules of Civility by Amor Towles

Rules of Civility - Amor Towles

This was  a book club book that I started and didn’t finish in time for us to discuss it.  Oh well, I’d still like to finish it and find out how it wraps up.

3. Love Walked In – Marisa de los Santos

Love Walked In by Marisa de Los SantosThis was a book I suggested for book club.  I had noticed it on my aunt’s book shelf about a year ago and thought it sounded interesting.  Again, I started it but didn’t finish it before our club discussed it.  Are you sensing a pattern here?

4. The One and Only – Emily Giffin

The One and Only by Emily GiffinThe One and Only is the latest novel from Emily Giffin. I have read several of her books and enjoyed every one of them. This is our next book club book and I am determined to actually finish this one before we meet to discuss it!

5. When We Were the Kennedys – Monica Wood

When We Were the Kennedys by Monica Wood I’ve been wanting to read this book for awhile and I just picked it up on am Amazon daily deal for just a couple bucks. So now I’ve got no reason to put it off any longer!

What will you be reading this summer? I’d love to hear what’s on your summer reading list.  And, if you’re looking for suggestions, I’ve got one:

Creative Chaos by Kate O Lynch

If you haven’t read my book yet, now is the perfect time! You can get your copy now at Amazon.

  1. I look forward to reading a couple of your summer books along with you. Yes, finish up those book club books we can still discuss them.
Creative Chaos is a good read for anyone to add to their summer list.
