I had the opportunity to attend a pre release screening of the movie About Time starring Rachel McAdams. This movie is from the creator of Love Actually and Notting Hill. If you are a fan of either movie I think you will enjoy this one.
I have to say, when I first heard that time travel was a part of this movie I was afraid I wouldn’t like it and also wondered…is Rachel McAdams obsessed with movies involving time travel? Remember she played the title role in the Time Traveler’s Wife; which by the way, the book was WAY better than the movie.
Domhnall Gleeson played Rachel McAdams’ love but I had never seen him before. He was a goofy, lovable man who has just been told by his father that he can travel through time. It isn’t until his encounter with Rachel McAdams that this ability comes in handy. He’s never had much luck with girls and he’s finally found one that he doesn’t want to let go, so he uses the “do over” his time travel allows until he gets it all right.
This movie was not only enjoyable, funny but it was feel good. When it hits theaters next weekend I suggest you head out and see it. You’ll even get to see this crazy guy from Love Actually play a normal role:
