Coffee House Cafe | Dallas

Coffee House Cafe | Dallas

For months I had been seeing check in after check in at Coffee House Cafe but never seemed to make it in.  Needless to say I was ecstatic when we settled on going there for my friend’s birthday brunch.  It seemed like a perfect excuse for us all to try something new!

Coffee House Cafe is up in very north Dallas, and if you don’t live close I definitely think it is worth the drive!  I am in love with this restaurant and can’t wait to go back!  We walked in and the place smelled heavenly!  The coffee smells were warm and inviting despite the crowd, there were so many people waiting for a table.  I now understand why D Magazine named it one of the best new restaurants of 2012!

Now I have to remind you, I’m allergic to eggs which means I’m a weird breakfast orderer.  If I could eat eggs, I would have tried the Challah French Toast Sandwich.  The birthday girl got it and said it was amazing!  Doesn’t it look good?

Those potatoes were crispy and full of flavor too.  There is nothing worst then bad breakfast potatoes.

I got the Breakfast Burrito minus the eggs but added sausage incase it need filler and it did not.  That burrito is huge!  I kind of thought the beans would be weird in the burrito but since I didn’t have any eggs they worked as a good filler and I really could have gone without the sausage.  But you know me, and I saw jalapenos so I had to order it.  The housemade salsas that came with the burrito were amazing and I only had the first bite without adding one of them.

Two of us actually ordered the burrito, so the only food item I didn’t get a picture of was the Chicken-apple sausage “hash” eggs benedict, but it was apparently a hit as well.

I can’t wait to go back for lunch or dinner to try something else.  Have you been to Coffee House Cafe? What did you order?
