When I spotted the Decoy Sauvignon Blanc at Target I knew I had to try it!  All of the other Decoy wines that I’ve had have been delicious so my expectations were pretty high for this one.  Luckily it did not disappoint.  I had every intention of sharing this wine with my sis, however she wasn’t home when I opened it and it was so good that in one night it was all gone…oops!

This 2011 Sauvignon Blanc is exactly what I think of when I think of Sauvignon Blanc.  It is light and fruity, but not too sweet it has just the right amount of tartness to make it in mind pretty close to a perfect Sauvignon Blanc.  So, if you try this based on my recommendation and don’t like it…we’ve got different pallets and I’ll take your leftovers.

I love, love that the Decoy tag line is “The everyday wine for the well-informed.”  Just makes me feel like a more sophisticated wine drinker!

The other Decoy Wines I’ve tried are the Pinot Noir (remember that blind tasting we did back in Feb) and Cabernet.  I’m really interested to try this red blend they have on their website, I’ll just have to track it down here in Dallas.

Decoy is a part of the Duckhorn wine family, with more than 20 years in wine making. According to the Decoy site: Decoy has established a loyal following for its distinctive style, which emphasizes ready-upon-release wines that are capable of expressing their full charm and complexity in their youth.  They’ve sure gained my loyalty by producing good wines!

I am glad I ventured down the wine aisle at Target the other day and discovered this Decoy Sauvignon Blanc, I will definitely be back for another bottle, and maybe this time I’ll share it with Beth!

What will be in your glass today?  Have you tried the Decoy Sauvignon Blanc yet?
