This Easy Italian Crockpot Chicken was an experiment that I think turned out pretty good! It’s really easy and you could even probably add a few more spices or herbs if you want depending on the sauce you use.
I just took a package of chicken and placed it in the crockpot. Then I poured enough pasta sauce on top to cover all of the chicken. I chose a pasta sauce with no extra sugar. If you want low sugar you have to look at the ingredient list and not the nutrition values. Tomatoes have sugar so you will never find a pasta sauce with 0g of sugar. I think I used a little more than a 1/3 of the jar. Next I chopped up about 3 cloves of garlic and tossed it in.
I let the chicken cook for 8 hours on low. With an hour left I shredded the chicken and mixed it up good with the pasta sauce.
When the chicken is finished cooking you have quite a few options for how to use it. I put it with pasta and added a little more sauce.
