Ladies Night | Mary Kay Andrews

I was suppose to have Ladies Night | Mary Kay Andrews finished weeks ago but I’ve been so busy with work for KateOGroup that I haven’t had a lot of time to read.  I’m hopeful that I can finish 3 more books in the next 3 weeks so that I can complete my 2013 reading challenge on Goodreads.

Ladies Night was the first book of Mary Kay Andrews’ that I have read.  It was an easy read but a little on the long side.  It was a lot of fun to me that the main character, Grace, was a blogger and all of the fun she had with a successful blog.  Each one of the characters were believable and not over the top despite the fact that there were quite a few characters involved in the story.

In Ladies Night | Mary Kay Andrews, a group of women and one man are ordered to attend a divorce recovery group by the judge presiding over their divorces.  They reluctantly bond with one another outside of their scheduled meeting at the bar Grace’s mother owns.  After Grace leaves her husband her only option is to move back in with her mom and live above the bar she grew up in, the Sandbox.

Ladies Night | Mary Kay Andrews

Ladies Night is funny, serious and in a few places a little far-fetched with a heavy focus on divorce.  This book isn’t all about revenge but revenge sure is a recurring theme.  I’m not sure how quickly I’ll pick up another book by Mary Kay Andrews but she’s not off my list of authors I would reread.

It’s on to the next read for me.  What are you currently reading?
