Last week we went out for Teal’s birthday to a place that only Teal and her husband Michael had been to up to that point. Misto Bistro is this inconspicuous restaurant at the corner of Rosemeade and Josey in Carrollton. The restaurant doubles as a catering company, so if you are looking for a caterer, hint hint….you might want to check out these guys!
We started out with several pitchers of house wines and sangria because they were all half price that night. There were so many appetizers to choose from that no one could pass them up. We got several orders of the fried green tomatoes and despite not being a big tomato fan I thought these were great. And believe me there wasn’t a bite left!
Each of our meals came with either a salad or the soup of the day. I went with the soup of the day and it was green chili soup that was fabulous. I wish I could get the recipe!
We ate and ate and ate some more because everything was so good! We were there on a Thursday night which is the only night they offer “Taco Party.” This isn’t on the menu but they have 5 different kinds of tacos: a fish, ground beef, brisket and a couple chicken options. You choose 4 of the 5 and what you get a little while later is a party on your plate!
Everyone was completely stuffed by the end of the meal and was ready to go home and lay down. Needless to say, Teal picked a great restaurant.
Thanks for letting us celebrate with you Teal and for taking us to Misto Bistro!
