Back in June I posted about the books I planned to read over the summer and to this point I’ve only read 3 of the 5. But summer’s not over yet, right? So I’ve still got some time.
After posting my list, I quickly knocked out 3 books:
1. Sisterhood Everlasting by Ann Brashares
2. Girls in White Dresses by Jennifer Close
3. Let’s Pretend This Never Happened by Jenny Lawson
I was so on track to just knock the books on my list out…then I got distracted by books available from the library or that friends loaned to me…unfortunately those have a short time frame, well maybe not that short….typically you’ve got 2 weeks.
Now if we are Goodreads friends, you’ll notice I did attempt to start my 4th book from the list back on July 24th. I’ve just decided that I need to go on a trip somewhere so I have the plane flight to read Steve Jobs. I’ll get it read, it just might not be any time soon.
I did recently acquire the 5th book on the list:
So I will be reading it once I finish my current library book. I absolutely love that my local library offers digital downloads for the Kindle! How genius is that? It’s really easy
Despite not completing my summer reading list…yet, I do feel like it was successful summer of reading. I discovered some great, new to me, authors and revisited some authors I already knew I liked. Now it’s time to put together a fall reading list. What are you reading? Got any good suggestions for me? I know my “to read” list on Goodreads is pretty long, but I’m always on the hunt for additional books to add to that list!
Shameless plug: If you haven’t read my debut novel Creative Chaos yet, what are you waiting for? It’s only $2.99 on Amazon!

Get on the waiting list at the library for Wild by Cheryl Strayed! It didn’t take me as long as I thought it would to get that book! I need to borrow some of these books of your’s to read! =)
