Uptown and Downtown Dallas aren’t the only places you can find a cocktail kitchen. Plano has one too, Pepper Smash at the Shops at Legacy.
We met up for happy hour on a Wednesday because they offer $5 glasses of wine all night but none of us could resist trying out some of the delicious sounding craft cocktails.
I started with the Raspberry Caipirinha. It was a dangerous drink. Tasted just like a spiked raspberry limeade and disappeared entirely too fast! Here are a few of the other cocktails we tried:
The Can’t Elope Cooler – this was lighter than you would expect.
The Pear & Berry was both sweet and sour!
Strawberry Fields was really heavy and very boozy.
Lastly, I just had to try the cotton candy martini….
It wasn’t the best drink I’d ever had but it sure was a lot of fun! It is uber sweet and I was glad I had several people to share it with.
I promise we didn’t just drink while we were there. During Happy Hour they offer flatbreads at a discount so we got a few to try. We settled on three to share among the 5 of us.
This was the Mediterranean Flatbread with grilled chicken, pesto, feta, tomatoes and spinach. I didn’t try this one because of the pesto, but it sure did disappear fast!
This was the BBQ Pulled Pork Flatbread. I wasn’t too sure about this one with the grilled pineapple but it was delicious!
Then there was the Prosciutto Flatbread. I have decided that I love anything with arugula on it and really enjoyed this one!
If you’re up in the Plano, Shops at Legacy area be sure to check out Pepper Smash. It is a great spot!

I’ve been hearing some buzz about Pepper Smash myself. The drinks look amazing and just looking at the flatbreads made me hungry. Great review!
