Once again I made a trek out to Fort Worth and this time we went to the Clearfork Food Park. I’d been to the tiny little food parks in Austin but this was a legit food truck park. There was parking, a bar, bathrooms and picnic tables covered and uncovered. That night there were about 8 food trucks. Which made it quite hard to decide what to get, in fact none of us really narrowed it down. We all got several things to try but shared with each other.
One of the first places we all headed to was Gorgonzilla, the King of the Grilled Cheese.
No one was disappointed by anything they got from Gorgonzilla. Here is the Gizmo made with Sharp Cheddar and Muenster Cheese:
This is Brie-zilla with Brie and Granny Smith apples:
The big surprise hit of the night was fried Boudin Balls from a Taste of Louisiana:
We went back for seconds on these.
Another surprise find was the brisket pizza from Gepettos Pizza Truck
This pizza was A-MAZING! I was a little leery when I saw that it had big chunks of brisket but wow this was good!
Fred’s Truck Wagon was also there and it’s restaurant version was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. Since the burger had received a high rating from Guy Fieri a few people wanted to try it.
I didn’t try the burger but I heard it was good, not amazing but good.
