I just got an email reminder about the upcoming season of Dallas Summer Musicals. I feel like they are trying to taunt me because there are still three months until we get to see the first musical. Boo!!
This is the fourth year my friends and I have gotten tickets to the Dallas Summer Musicals. The first year there were four of us and this year I think there will be twelve of us. Yikes, eating dinner together before hand is going to get tricky.
Each year they seem to add more and more musicals that can be added on as “extras.” I am really looking forward to this season, which includes:
Happy Days
The Wizard of Oz
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
A Chorus Line
Mamma Mia
Mary Poppins
Legally Blonde
I think I am most excited to see Legally Blonde. I’ve heard it is really good.
Originally Tarzan was supposed to be in the lineup but apparently the tour was canceled so Mamma Mia is now filling in. I’ve already seen Mamma Mia twice but I am looking forward to seeing it again, who doesn’t love three hours of Abba songs?
We also decided to get tickets to see Rent. The tour of Rent includes two of the original Broadway cast: Adam Pascal and Anthony Rapp. It should be good!

I loved Legally Blonde!!! After I saw it, I was so hooked that I even watched that “Search for Elle” reality show where they tried to find the next Elle Woods… and sometimes I still sing the songs in my head! 🙂
I know you’re going to love it! I wish I were going to be there, I’d like to see a lot of shows on that list!

I’m very excited too! I do have a question though…was I responsible for my RENT ticket or did someone do that for me???

Rent is my favorite Broadway show – I’ve seen it three times already, and will probably see it a fourth when it is here. IF you haven’t seen it, it’s awesome.
