From Notting Hill with Love Actually was the perfect book for me to read following a string of intense books requiring my brain to work too hard. It was light, fluffy and overloaded with cheesiness and I’m not ashamed to say I really enjoyed. I hope that description does not offend author Ali McNamara because this really was a fun read.
I had been seeing From Notting Hill with Love Actually by Ali McNamara pop up all over the place, so when it went on sale for $1.99 I decided to buy it. After reading And the Mountains echoed (read my review here) I wanted something light, fluffy that didn’t require a lot of thought.
I buzzed through this silly story very quickly and couldn’t help but thin how it would make the perfect drinking game. Though I guess after a while you wouldn’t be able to read it. The game would be, every time a movie is referenced by name or scene you take a drink. I’m pretty sure you’d pass out by the end of chapter two.
From Notting Hill with Love Actually is the story of Scarlett who spends most of her days with her head in the movies. Too busy day dreaming to focus on real life. When the opportunity presents itself for her to house sit in Notting Hill for a month and escape the life of disappointing her father and fiancee, how can she say no? But what she discovers forever changes her life.

Your review has peeked my interest, so guess what. I’m requesting this in my library queue for my next pickup. Sounds fun! Maybe I will even attempt your “drinking game.” Ha!
