You are most likely looking at that title, NaNoWriMo 2013, and thinking what the heck is that? Well, here is the deal. Every November it is Nation Novel Writing Month so naturally it is abbreviated NaNoWriMo, duh! A quick confession though before we go much further….I’ve never participated in NaNoWriMo before. I really wanted to last year, but I was getting myself ready to quit my job and go out on my own with KateOGroup full-time and novel writing just wasn’t in the cards for me.
Now it has been just over a year and a half since I released my first novel, Creative Chaos.
After putting Creative Chaos out in the world for others to read, I’ve been wanting to write a sequel and also write a stand alone novel. Despite already having tons of ideas for both novels, the idea of writing another book seems intimidating. But after reading a brilliant post over on Tipsy Lit about using Evernote to organize and access writing notes I’ve been feeling more inspired.
The goal for NaNoWriMo is to write 50,00 words. I already had 5,172 words written in the novel I want to work on going into November; so if I can accomplish writing 50,000 more in just 30 days I will be doing good!
So wish me luck, keep your fingers crossed (I can’t or how would I write…err type) and off I go!
