First of all…how the H-E-double hockey sticks are we more than half way through August?
I feel like it was 2013 just yesterday. And now I feel old for saying that. With every year that passes they seem to go by more and more quickly. Remember when Christmas seemed like it would never get here or that you would never survive the school year until summer vacation? These days I wish I had time to feel that way but it just seems to go by so quickly!
I have been a terrible, horrible, very bad blogger in 2014. It is not because I don’t want to blog or because nothing has gone on; in fact it is quite the opposite.
Remember those books I listed in my last post and wanted to read over the summer? Well, that didn’t happen. I have successfully started about 5 books this year and not finished a single one. Honestly I really do miss reading but even more I miss writing. I have had no time for that either. So what have I been doing? I know you’re DYING to know so here it is.
I kicked off my summer with a road trip to North Carolina with these two handsome dudes:
Of course their mom was with us too, which made it a blast. (The above picture is just after brunch in downtown Savannah, GA)
We spent 10 days together driving from Texas to North Carolina and back to Texas. It was so much fun! Then before I knew it, July had arrived and we were just weeks away from the arrival of my newest little nephew. I got busy loading up my Etsy shop with all sorts of baby items; from birth announcements, shower invitations to growth charts and I still have more designs to get from my head to the computer.
Now that my nephew has arrived I decided to offer 20% off in the shop through the end of the month:
Go and shop your heart out! My goal is to have Christmas/Holiday Cards up next week. Yup I went there…I mentioned Christmas, but you know it will be here before we know it.
My goal is to quit being a bad blogger and be a consistent blogger the rest of the year. Stay tuned for some fun announcements later this week. Tiffany and I have some fun new products up our sleeves!
You’re not a bad blogger at all. You have truly just been too busy. Hopefully the remainder of 2014 will slow down just enough for you to share some great recipes, wine tastings and book reviews.
