The last few months have been so busy that I’ve been a complete slacker when it comes to reading (as I have mentioned quite a few times). However when looking at the books I read in 2013 on Goodreads, I was impress. I really did read quite a bit this past year. Trust me, my goal for next year will be much smaller.
See, isn’t that impressive? If it isn’t, please don’t tell me and let me live in awe of myself for the next 30 minutes or so.
Though technically I haven’t completed all 36 of the books above. As I am writing this post I am listening to Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me by Mindy Kailing, but I’ll be in finished with it in no time. And technically I’m only about half way through How Lucky You Are by Kristyn Kusek Lewis but I promise to have this book finished by midnight tomorrow so that I can officially say, I read 36 books in 2013!
I realize you may not be able to make out this list of books I read in 2013 (because I read SO many they images had to be so small to fit) and that’s okay I’ll go ahead and fill in a few blanks:
You may notice that I have 3 Harry Potter Books on that list and that is because, wait for it…I’ve never read them before. Please forgive my tardiness to this party, I’m hoping to fit the rest of the HP books into my 2014 reading list because I really did enjoy the ones I have read so far (unlike J.K. Rawlings The Casual Vacancy which I couldn’t bring myself to finish).
I know I didn’t review all of these books on my blog and there are a few reasonable explanations for that. Two of the books I read, The Rockin’ Chair and The Break-Up Psychic, were reviewed over on TipsyLit. The other books I didn’t review was because they were either books in the Harry Potter Series or I just didn’t really want to admit I read them (The Fame Game, Bared To You and Sugar & Spice), no offense just trying to keep it real.
Of all the books, my favorite were:
These aren’t in any particular order and I know they represent a wide range of genres but I can’t help that! I was surprised by Wild, Arranged and The 500 and each one left a lasting impression on me for either the writing style or the story line.
Guess I better get back to reading so that I can complete my list of books I read in 2013 and start working on my list of books to read in 2014! Got any suggestions for me?
