I know I told you I was going to finally read Kite Runner this past week and I started it but I forgot how tough the first 70 or so pages are. This is my second attempt to read this book and so far it is slow going. . .but here’s why. . .
I have been frantically working on my book. The end is so insight I can almost taste it. Just four more chapters to finish rewriting, then it is time for the cover design! If all goes as planned I am hoping to have it ready for print in the next month, maybe sooner. If you want to get a sneak peak at my book go to Authonomy and register as a user and you can read the first 16 chapters so far.
Speaking of books for sale (wink, wink), did you know that Half Price Books Stores have a section of $1.00 books? I just learned that this weekend from my friend Sara in Houston. So if you are looking for some super inexpensive entertainment, head on down to your local Half Price Books Store and see what they offer. It’s also a great way to increase your personal library.
Tonight though, I will be perusing the pages of my newly arrived Food & Wine, the April issue. Thanks to my friend Kandice, I have a subscription. Happy reading. . .
P.S. If you are drinking along, Wednesday’s wine will be the McWilliam’s Cabernet Sauvignon 2006.
