As you guessed it I am still working on The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society. I didn’t have a whole lot of time to read this past week like I had planned.
I am enjoying this book and when I actually do have time to read I don’t want to stop. I really would have guessed that this book would be hard to follow given that it is comprised of letters written between a large group of people, but surprisingly it isn’t. The letters are written between 1942 and 1946 in a post war European setting.
The authors do a really good job of introducing each new letter writer before we read their letter. It is interesting to see how each author because entwined in the story. This week I have taken a little time off and should have this book finished in no time and I’ll be on to my next read. . .
I’m thinking I will finally read Kite Runner.
