So, I did something I never thought I would do, most especially because it was in the middle of a pandemic. I signed up to be a Beautycounter consultant. First of all, I have to say, it’s all my sister’s fault!
I had heard of Beautycounter but never tried it until my sister became a consultant late in 2017. That was a really tough year, our Mom was diagnosed with uterine cancer. That diagnosis caused all of us to evaluate what we were allowing in our lives that could cause cancer. Including what we were eating, using in our homes and putting on our skin. Did you know your skin is your largest organ?
It’s all my sister’s fault
When Beth became a Beautycounter consultant, I had zero make up and never washed my face. The reason I had zero make up was because I had misplaced my make up after a trip to Houston. I guess I thought I was being smart, by putting my make up bag in a cooler I’d taken with me so I had more hands to carry things inside. Apparently I set that cooler down in the garage and didn’t ever remember to retrieve my make up and quickly forgot it was in there. Over a year later of being annoyed that my make up was MIA (but I work from home so it wasn’t that big of a deal), I found it! It was still in the cooler…in the garage. Needless to say, I threw it all away and hadn’t taken the time to replace it.
Once I tried Beautycounter make up and saw how great it worked, I was hooked. I reluctantly bought the cleansing balm to wash my face because it seemed like the easiest option and man is that stuff amazing! Not only will it clean your face, it soothes your skin after too much sun, it also serves as a moisturizing mask on your lips or any dry skin (think heels and elbows) and I’m sure it does even more!
Since my initial introduction to Beautycounter I have continued to buy and try new things. I now wash my face every day (sometimes even twice a day), use the Charcoal Mask once a week and use the Overnight Resurfacing Peel 3 nights a week. What can I say, I’m an addict?!
When it comes to Beautycounter make up, I love how forgiving it is. Because it is so buildable and blendable, even someone with as little experience as I have can look professionally made up.
From Customer to Beautycounter Consultant
When Beautycounter offered free enrollment as a consultant, I couldn’t pass that up. All I had to do was by the smallest start kit that cost $100. Becoming a consultant allows me to get a discount on the products I’m already using and support my sister. I was already using the products so a discount is win-win. Joining my sister’s team means we get to help each other and give us another excuse to hang out!
If you want to learn more about Beautycounter and want to try any products, just shoot me an email or visit my Beautycounter website to make a purchase.
