A Sweethaven Christmas | Courtney Walsh

A Sweethaven Christmas is the final book in the Sweethaven trilogy by author Courtney Walsh.  As anxious as I was to read this book I was also sad to finish it.  I didn’t want my time with the ladies of Sweethaven to come to an end.

A Sweethaven ChristmasThe three books cover only a few months time period for the ladies of Sweethaven, but so much happens in each of their lives and it’s all because Campbell found an old scrapbook that lead her to Sweethaven to discover what her mom’s life was like as a teenager.  What she finds is more then just history; she finds a family she never could have dreamed she’d have.  She is just the thing this circle of childhood friends needs to return to the meaningful friendships they cultivated over years of summers in this small town.

Reading all about this small midwest town really made me wish I lived in or at least visited a small town like this on a regular basis.  I am very much a city girl, but I can see how an escape to small town like this could be a much welcomed escape from the every day hustle and bustle of life.

I also felt like my time in Sweethaven didn’t last long enough!  All three of the books are easy to read and draw you right in.  I love that they are filled with mystery, love and friendship.  I adore books like this that really transport you to the time and place of the story and make you feel like you’re a part of it.  Even though this book has Christmas in the title, it’s a great read for any time of the year.

I’m not sure if Courtney Walsh has any more books in the works just yet, I know it’s probably been a crazy year for her with all 3 of these books coming out in 2012, but I will definitely be keeping an eye out for anything new she writes because I loved these books so much.

A Sweethaven Christmas, along with the other 2 Sweethaven books are available in paperback and for the Kindle.

Next up, I think I’m going to read, Born to Be Brad by Brad Goreski.
