I know I blogged about Middle Sister wines twice, Back in 2009. I’ve had it again since then but since I hadn’t tried any new varietals so I hadn’t mentioned them again. On my last trip to Target I just couldn’t resist the adorable packaging when I stumbled upon the Middle Sister Pinot Noir. Packaging is key for me. I love anything with good packaging. This goes back to years of working in the scrapbooking industry where we spent half of our time designing just the right packaging for a new product or analyzing examples of great package design.
One of the other reasons I love Middle Sister wine is because I am the middle sister!
Stole this pic from my sister of us kids back in about 1987.
But back to the wine! The Pinot Noir also called “Goodie Two-shoes” by Middle Sister was good. I believe it ran about $12 and didn’t last too long. It has been awhile since I had a Middle Sister wine but this just might be my favorite, but I’m willing to do the research just to double check.
When I bought this bottle I also discovered that Middle Sister is now making a sparkling wine. I had no idea they had expanded their offerings so much.
I know this may not be a wine that gains a lot of respect but it is most definitely a wine that knows how to have a lot of fun and after all isn’t that part of the reason to drink wine?
The detail on the cork was a fun surprise to find.
What will you be drinking this wine Wednesday?
