Kidnapped | Dee Henderson

This week I ventured to a different kind of book, in more ways than one. It is a mystery/suspense novel by a Christian author with a little romance thrown in the mix as well. Back during my days at Magic Scraps a co-worker introduced me to Dee Henderson.

kidnapped-coverKidnapped (Dee Henderson) is a book about Caroline Lane, a single woman who lives close to her sister, brother-in-law and nephew outside of Atlanta. Caroline has been dating an FBI agent, cousin of her brother-in-law for a little over a year when unexpected events occur over Labor Day weekend. Caroline’s family goes missing.

Luke, the FBI agent struggles with the fact that this case has suddenly becomes personal and involves his family. He has to look into anyone and everyone to find out what happens to those that he loves.

I’m not gonna lie, this book is a little cheesy but it was still good. Dee Henderson has won countless awards and this is her 15th novel, so obviously she’s got a following. But this is by no means a book that really makes you think because the story is very straight forward.

Next week I’ll be reading a book suggested by Beth; the Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows.

Have you read Kidnapped (Dee Henderson) or any of her other books?
